The Relics of St. Mary Magdalen
Her relics have been venerated in Europe since the 2nd Century. For the first time, the relics of Mary Magdalen, first witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, have come to this country. A French Dominican Priest, Fr. Romeric, accompanied the reliquary to the Acadiana area in early November 2009.
Institution of Acolyte
St. Mary Magdalen's seminarian Mr. David Hebert was installed into the ministry of Acolyte in October 2009. Bishop Michael Jarrell was presider for the ceremony.
